Don’t Be Afraid to Make Changes in Your Small Business

Don’t Be Afraid to Make Changes in Your Small Business

Hi everyone. I hope your weekend is off to a great start. Just wanted to share 10 Inspiring Success Stories to keep you motivated in your small businesses. Easy coffee reading.

One story in particular caught my eye — because the company grew very fast. Within one year, this small business grew from two employees to a staggering 100. But the company’s success was based on another company’s “formula.” And when that larger company changed its formula, this small business lost sixty percent of its distribution.

What’s inspiring about this story is this small business was not afraid to make some fast changes to recover and ultimately make a successful comeback. See story:  http://www.inc.com/ss/10-inspiring-small-business-success-stories#5. After reading it, come back for more info on the story’s lesson below and how you can be successful in your company.

Follow Your Instincts and Be Prepared to Make Changes

The lesson in the above story is this:  If something’s not working for you in your business, change it. Period.  It’s your company. That’s the beauty of working for yourself. You can change tactics, policies, pricing and procedures on a dime.

Too often, as small business owners, we get fixed on an idea, a strategy, and, because we’ve spent so much time and maybe so much money on that strategy, we don’t want to change it. I’ve been guilty of that myself. But don’t throw good money (and good time and energy) after something that clearly may not be working in your business.

If you’re facing this hurdle in your business, plan to do some research and make some changes.  You’ll know in your gut what to do. Follow those instincts, and be prepared to make changes that will ultimately give you the result, and the profit, you expect.

Continued success with your business!
