Property Preservation Work in Massachusetts and Rhode Island

JOB OVERVIEW: A mortgage field-services business is seeking contractors. They are located in Central Massachusetts and have been operational for over two decades.  They provide property preservation and mortgage field services to bank-owned properties in Massachusetts and in Rhode Island. The company is a small, family-owned business and their office is fast-paced and growing.

PAYMENT: The company pays weekly.

DUTIES: The company is seeking vendors that can perform the following:

  • Debris Removal
  • Cleanouts
  • Window and Door Boarding
  • Changing Locks
  • Winterizations
  • Lawn Maintenance
  • Snow Removal
  • Work must be completed to HUD specification

Vendors must have the following:

  • Reliable, Insured Automobile*
  • Personal Insurance *

*Company will provide specific insurance requirements via return email upon request.)

  • Necessary Tools (i.e., lawn maintenance tools, general repair tools, compressor, generator)
  • Digital Camera
    Computer (with access to internet and capability of uploading photos to websites, etc.)
  • Scanner/ Fax (for forwarding paperwork as needed)
  • Optional GPS (GPS is optional, but it is an extremely useful tool in the industry)
  • Optional Trailer (optional, but helpful for debris removal)
  • Smart phone or Other Cellular Phone (smart phones preferred, but not required; must be able to email or text photos)
  • Detail Oriented (An eye for detail is critical. Upon contractual agreement, vendor will be provided many manuals, guidebooks, checklists, and pertinent documents to follow.  There are specific photo requirements, work order details, and job processes that must be completed to client’s specific needs.)

Geographical Area: Company requires contracting vendors to cover an entire county (or a geographical area within 15-mile radius of their office or home).  Vendors are NOT required to physically report to the office. Instead, contractors will have an internet account where they will receive daily orders/instructions.

DETAIL, DETAIL, DETAIL: Both an eye for detail and the ability to create bids for work needed are crucial.

Commitment and Dedication: Company is seeking vendors that will dedicate themselves to jobs at hand, as well as communicate with office on a daily basis.  They are looking for reps that will take pride in work orders given to them, and complete jobs to the best of their abilities. They expect the best from contractors because they strive to be the best as a whole, and all entities involved should be working to accomplish the same goal every day.

DEADLINE INTENSIVE: Timeliness is imperative. If a vendor is not able to get jobs completed and submitted on time, they are NOT a good fit for this job and should NOT apply. The ideal contractor candidate will be able to commit themselves fully to this company, as well as be available six to seven days a week. The company will make sure those vendors capable of completing work orders in a timely and efficient manner will be kept busy year-round.

Subcontracting vendors are the most important part of this company, as the reputation they have with clients start with field vendors. They rely on their field vendors to be as efficient as possible, ensuring that all bases are covered and that properties have been fully reported on with supporting bids and applicable photos.
