Get Larger 2017 REO Contracts by Using HUD’s Procurement Opportunity Programs (POP)

What are HUD’s Procurement Opportunity Programs?

“The Procurement Opportunity Programs (POP) provide direct HUD contracting and subcontracting opportunities to businesses and organizations which are eligible for preferential treatment under a variety of Federal laws, Executive Orders, etc. (e.g., the Small Business Act).

Eligible organizations include: small, small disadvantaged, women-owned, historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone), veteran-owned, and service disabled veteran-owned small businesses.

The POPs also provide a means for establishing and monitoring HUD’s annual goals for the participation of other eligible small businesses in its direct procurement of supplies and services and to report HUD’s performance to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).”

In short, if you are seeking larger contracts for your REO subcontracting business, start by digging around on HUD’s website at https://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/program_offices/sdb/guide/pop#WhatPop.

There is a host of information available on small business bidding and procurement at the various sub-sites.

Warning:  Be patient in your efforts.  HUD is an ever-changing,  monster site as you will see with many of the inactive links.   I tackled it when I penned How to Start a Foreclosure Cleanup Business (Property Preservation Industry Start-up Guide, Original Edition)http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004FGN7O6 / Latest 2016-2017 Edition:  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019E3JT96.

But it’s worth the “wade-thru” to find meaty subcontracting opportunities for your property preservation / foreclosure cleanup business in 2017.

Good luck to you!
